Existing Living Laboratories

Rutgers-New Brunswick is already home to many places used for teaching and research that can be considered living labs. Still, ample opportunity exists to improve on these existing uses and add new ones.

Cook/Douglass Campus

  1. Many locations and the campus as a whole are used by different professors as teaching tools. While some of these locations are very popular, such as Passion Puddle, others are not as well known, such as the Floriculture Greenhouses, the Cook Farm, and the Student Sustainable Farm.

College Avenue, Busch, and Livingston Campuses

  1. Several places on College Avenue, Busch, and Livingston are used for teaching and research. More research could discover more ways these campuses are being utilized as living labs.

Off-Campus

  1. Several places off-campus are currently used for teaching. These include some areas around the University, such as the city of New Brunswick, as well as Rutgers-affiliated Field and Research Stations around the state.
